Pi Network’s structural vulnerabilities are becoming increasingly apparent, with data showing nearly half of its global nodes are located in Vietnam. The network’s 319 nodes include 154 Vietnamese installations, accounting for 48.2% of the total infrastructure. At the time of publication, 33 out of 76 active connections traced back to the Southeast Asian country.

More concerning is the absolute control maintained by Pi Network’s Core team, which holds exclusive custody of the platform’s two validator nodes. This concentration of power directly contradicts blockchain’s decentralized principles, raising serious questions about the network’s integrity.

The geographical imbalance adds to existing worries about Pi Coin’s distribution, where the Core team reportedly controls the majority of the supply. Such centralized governance models often face skepticism from crypto purists who value distributed networks over controlled ecosystems.
